What happens when enemies with zero base energy are affected by Famine?
Are there even enemies with zero base energy? If so, if they are affected by Famine, would they take 3716489025621 damage packets and go boom, take one packet, or have nothing happen to them at all?

Famine only deals damage when your energy goes from 1+ to 0.

All enemies/creatures have the base energy of their base profession (plus any bonuses for being bosses, hard mode, etc)
Warrior's: 20 Rangers, Paragons, Dervishes, Assassins: 30 Monks, Mesmers, Necromancers, Ritualists, Elementalists: 40 http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Creature So as for the question.. you would need to reduce the enemies/creature's energy down to 0 for Famine to take effect.. just as you would players in PvP.

They wouldnt go boom. It works like the skill mind wrack, it only triggers damage the first time their energy goes to 0. You need to wait for it to regen by atleast one point, then drain them somehow again to deal a second packet of damage.

I dont believe its 1 point, it just has to be regenning. For instance with the old 600/famine the power from it came from the fact that every time you got hit with melee, every time you got hit by a melee, everyone next to you took the famine damage, even if it had only been like 1/4 of a second (which even with 10 regen, wouldnt = 1 energy)

Ah thanks. I was wondering if things like Siege Turtles and Juggies had energy and blah blah blah.
Famine farming is a two person thing isn't it? |

It doesn't have to be; it can be solo. I've seen a R/Me solo UW build using Famine. More party members will generally speed up killing.
